About the Author
Helen F. Smith, the editor, is an experienced teacher and adviser to The Newtonite, the award-winning student newspaper of Newton North High School, in Newtonville, Massachusetts. She also directs the New England Scholastic Press Association and teaches at workshops and conventions for student journalists in the United States, Europe and Asia.
