On television he was well known as Dr. Zorba in Ben Casey. His uniqueness enabled people to recognize him wherever he went. Jaffe was more than an actor. He was a man of integrity and conviction who was instrumental in starting Actor's Equity, as well as creating The Equity Library Theatre which kick-started hundreds of careers. Jaffe was a political activist who survived being falsely targeted by the House Un-American Activities Committee which damaged hundreds of professionals and destroyed many lives.

About the Author

Arleen Lorrance is a graduate of the Drama Department of the original High School of Performing Arts in New York City. She was a professional actor for 18 years (stage, screen and television.) She earned an MFA in Directing from the City University of N.Y. In 1981 she originated The Theatre of Life and served as its Artistic Director for the life of the program. She currently continues to conduct mini Theatre of Life experiences called Kaleidoscope. She has also written over 2,300 film commentaries which are highly regarded by subscribers. In 1970 Arleen originated and introduced The Love Principles (including Be the Change You Want to See Happen) during The Love Project which changed a ghetto high school in an inner city New York neighborhood from a place of violence and high absenteeism to a center of learning and harmony. Arleen went on to join forces with Diane Kennedy Pike. For over 40 years the two have published numerous books, served as keynote speakers, taught classes, conducted workshops, disseminated The Love Principles, functioned as Consciousness Coaches, and facilitated the inner growth of thousands of people while strengthening their ability to love unconditionally.
