Black Cat Hill Books
(Oregon City, OR, U.S.A.)

Book Description Hardcover. First Edition (1979), not directly stated. First Printing stated. Near Fine in Very Good DJ: Both book and DJ show only minute indications of use. The Book shows a hint of blanching to the blue-tinted top edge of the text block; the front board is ever so slightly bowed; else flawless; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, or labels. A very nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing a couple of unobtrusive flaws. Very close to 'As New'. The DJ shows considerable sunning to the blue background field of the backstrip (the white titles thereon are of course unaffected, but not so bold as when the background was bright); else light wear to the extremities; the price is unclipped; mylar-protected. Flawed, but overall remains close to 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (9.75 x 6.65 x 2.15 inches). 589 pages. Language: English. Weight: 42.7 ounces. Hardback with DJ. A collection of short stories, essays, and poems, culled from small presses and literary journals. Contains 61 selections, including poems, essays and short stories by many authors, including Jayne Anne Phillips, Ai, Tess Gallagher, David St John, Jane Smiley, Mary Oliver, Michael Harper, Brenda Hillman, Alicia Ostriker, Ellen Gilchrist, Ishmael Reed and many others. First Edition (1979), not directly stated. First Printing stated. Seller Inventory # 54870
