Synopsis
The many recipes in this book were contributed by customers of the Meyer family herbal business who used herbs to treat a variety of conditions. We are not only told which herbs to use, but are given the contributors' own experience in preparing herbs and treating conditions "naturally."

About the Author
Joseph Ernest Meyer (1878-1950) was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A printer by trade, he founded Indiana Herb Gardens (now Indiana Botanic Gardens) in 1910, published The Herbalist in 1918, and began annual publication of the Herbalist Almanac in 1925. During the Depression he founded the Calumet National Bank of Hammond.
