About the Author:
Dr. Les de Villiers is the author of a dozen books on African politics, economy, conservation and travel. His writings have been published in South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain and China. His book on sanctions against apartheid South Africa, published by Greenwood --In Sight of Surrender--is considered a standard reference on the subject. Born in South Africa he resides in Connecticut form where he travels to Africa at least twice and sometimes three or four times year to different parts of the Continent to stay abreast of developments
