John DeCicco is a senior associate with the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) where he focuses on improving the efficiency of transportation energy use. He has conducted studies of opportunities for improving car and light truck fuel economy, the role of transportation in addressing global climate change, and the economic and job creation benefits of energy efficiency improvements. He is co-editor of the study, Energy Innovations: A Prosperous Path to a Clean Environment; the book, He received a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Princeton University in 1988 where he was associated with the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies.
Martin Thomas is a research assistant at ACEEE where he works on transportation energy issues. His work includes modeling vehicle fuel economy and emissions and life cycle analysis of the environmental impacts of automobiles. Before joining ACEEE, he worked as a research assistant of vehicle emissions at Los Alamos National Laboratory and at the University of Michigan. He holds an M.S. in physics from the University of Michigan.
