About the Author

Frosty Potter was born in Elma, Iowa in 1895. When Frosty was six his Pa bought the Diamond N Ranch where they lived until Pa was killed in a train accident while taking the cattle to market. Frosty raised his family in Fargo, North Dakota while working for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. One of his three boys was killed during WWII and the other two are still living as of this writing. After Frosty retired, he and his wife Anne moved to Hamilton, Montana where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. After the death of Anne, Frosty moved to Tucson, Arizona and married his second wife, Eileen. While living there he passed away in 1996 at the age of 100 plus years. Scott Nelson is the artist. Among Frosty's other books is "Cowboy Slang"
