About the Author
John Bell is an Ottawa-based writer and editor. His previous Pottersfield books include literary portraits of Halifax and Ottawa. During the early 1960s he had an undistinguished Little League career in South End Halifax. A little later, he played briefly as a ringer on a small town team in Queen's County, Nova Scotia. He refuses to divulge his batting average.
