With wry, dry humour, Ann Tudor explores the physical and mental phenomena of aging, chronicling the incremental changes that assail us on our way to the Land of Old. Beneath it all is a deep awareness of the possibility of spiritual development as we move toward the inevitable end. The essays and poems approach the aging process with humour, clarity, understanding, and acceptance.

In everything she writes, Ann Tudor probes the events and emotions of her rich life and reveals her scattershot approach to living: she indulges her varied interests as they arise. With a B.A. from DePauw University and an M.A.T. degree from Vanderbilt University, she began work as a teacher of French but found herself profoundly unsuited to the task of teaching seventh grade. Since then, her full- or part-time vocations have included: church organist, copy editor, managing editor, choir member, artist-craftsperson (altered and handmade books, fibre arts), pianist, cellist, hands-on healer, and avid reader. Ann has taught, in addition to French, breadmaking and overtone singing, and she has read her work to enthusiastic audiences. She has written children's books and created audiobooks from her memoirs and stories. Mother of three and grandmother of five, Ann lives in Toronto with her husband.
