Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. B/W Photographs (illustrator). First Edition. SUBTITLED : ` Images of Gold Mountain 1886 -1947'. The translation of Gum San into English is `gold mountain'. Gold Mountain was the colloquial name for Canada. These 80 pages are the exhibition catalogue for a photography show held in Vancover, British Columbia - March to June of 1985. Paul Yee writes a 6 page introduction. Helga Pakasaar also provides text. It seems that both of these are then traslated into Mandarin. LEARN more about : Tai Sing Company, bachelors, Mrs. Mary Ng Quan, Chinese Benevolent Association, Mon Keong school, and Star Grocery, Cond : Paper wrapper is dark green with light green lettering. Hugh Lee family portrait on cover. Colours bright, binding tight. No names. Light edge wear. Annoying stain on upper corners of pp. 1- 24. Very good working copy.
