B. Allan Mackie continues to teach, design, and build. His schools have trained thousands of good craftspeople; some of whom formed building companies internationally, with the result that the worldwide standard for excellence in log building is now a "Mackie" log house. His other books include Log House Plans and Building with Logs.
Very indepth.... This is no book for cowboys, and he has pitched it at people who want to build a log house and to do it professionally, ethically and to a high aesthetic standard. (Owner Builder)
