Synopsis
The author escorts the reader on a personal journey of discovery through tiny Victorian villages and along the gorgeous mountain ledges and waterfalls of the eastern rim of the Catskill Mountains. She encourages the reader to explore, to bring a friend and a camera, to paint or hike, to fish or swim or ski or simply sit and enjoy these incredible spaces as she has done. Sixty paintings of hers illustrate the travelogue of the land of James Fenimore Cooper's Leatherstocking stories and the site of the Hudson River School of Painting. This beautifully illustrated volume will be a fabulous addition to any library.

About the Author
A native New Yorker, graduate of the Music and Art High School and Syracuse University School of Fine Arts, Judy is a graphic designer, potter and painter. She taught at Parsons School of Design for twelve years as well as in Westport and Silvermine, Connecticut. She is author of A Painter’s Guide to the Catskills of Rip Van Winkle, A Painter’s Guide to Fort Lauderdale and The Beautiful Pond. Her paintings and sculpture have been represented in many shows throughout New York and New England.
