Riff and Raff, those were the names
Punched on collars edged in steel,
Their muscles bulged and rippled
With a power the friends could feel.

The message was clear and simple--
This park is ours, don't make a fuss,
And don't ever come here again,
Or you'll have to tangle with us.

Candy, Josie and Buddy
Slowly backed away,
They were no match for Riff and Raff
On that or any day.

And so for all that summer
They avoided their favourite park,
For Riff and Raff could still be lurking
From dawn till well after dark.

But they gazed at it with longing
As they passed by every day,
Remembering all the fun they'd had
And the games they used to play.
