About the Author

Richard Battle is a businessman with more than 30 years of sales and management experience. He has more than 20 years experience speaking and conducting training sessions regarding leadership, character, motivation, and volunteerism. He has been involved with several volunteer organizations for many years. As the president of the Austin Jaycees in 1983-1984, he was recognized as the Outstanding Local Chapter President in the world while leading his 500+ member chapter to being recognized as the Most Outstanding Local Chapter in the United States. He chaired the John Ben Shepperd Public Leadership Forum and its board, and served organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Muscular Dystrophy Association and Keep Austin Beautiful. Richard has also authored, The Volunteer Handbook: How to Organize and Manage a Successful Organization and Surviving Grief By God’s Grace, which Writer’s Digest recognized in their 10th Annual International Self-Published Book Awards with an Honorable Mention in the Inspirational category.
