About the Author

Duane R. Light grew up near the Mississippi River, attended school in various parts of the country, and finished his education at the University of California, San Diego. He and his wife, Fran, have owned Studio West gallery in San Diego, California, for thirteen years.

Light worked as a demonstrator for Grumbacher, Inc., for two years and now teaches privately and in public schools, conducting workshops around the United States and abroad. He is actively involved in Watercolor West, La Jolla Art Association, Big Bear Art Association, and the Federation of Canadian Artists.

In addition, Light has written and illustrated four books for Walter Foster Publishing. His work is part of many private and corporate collections around the world. He currently resides in Southern California.
