About the Author:
David Gilmour’s most recent book is The Last Leopard, a biography of Giuseppe di Lampedusa which has been highly acclaimed. Mr. Gilmour has also written The Transformation of Spain, Lebanon: The Fractured Country, and The Hungry Generations.

Gilmour has established his knowledge of Spain and its history in such previous publications as The Transformation of Spain ( LJ 12/85).
