About the Author

Ed Ramsden, an electrical engineer, has worked with Hall effect sensors since 1988. His experiences range from designing Hall effect integrated circuits to developing novel magnetic processing techniques. He has published more than a dozen technical articles on sensor-related subjects, and holds four U.S. patents in the area of magnetic sensor technology. Ed resides in Oregon where he is currently employed by Lattice Semiconductor Corporation.
