Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Dale Messick (illustrator). 1st Edition. 4vo (7 x 10 in) Collected re-prints of several "Brenda Starr, Reporter" comic strips from the 1950s. Featured story is 'The Strange Case of the Beastly Twins.' Also includes the first 'Mystery Man' story. In the back is a section of cut-outs, paper doll style featuring Brenda and some of her co-workers. There's also a re-print of an article on illustrator/writer/creator Dale Messick from the Chicago Daily Tribune in 1951. Cover and inside pages are nice with edgewear on the rear cover the only flaw. On the first page, at the top, Dale Messick has drawn a Brenda Starr head/face surrounded by stars and written "Hello! Jennie from Brenda Starr and Dale Messick." Very cool, very collectible.
