Rena Rosenwasser was born in New York City in 1950. She studied literature and creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College and later at Mills College. She co-founded Kelsey St. Press in 1974 and in the mid-eighties initiated a series, collaborations between writers and artists. She lives in Berkeley, California.
Artist: Kate Delos is a native Californian. She became interested in books at the age of fifteen as a "printer's devil." University art training and Peace Corps work in West Africa prepared her to paint, teach and live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
"A beautifully designed volume...The lines of poetry ebb and flow across each page in a natural rhythm that echoes softly throughout the island journey that the poems in Isle describe." -- Jennifer Joseph, San Francisco Bay Guardian
