Synopsis
The county seat ofUnicoi County, Tennessee, was named for the author's father, David J.N. Ervin, who was born in eastern Tennessee in 1845. Discussing the early history of the town, now called Erwin, the author describes the village as welt as the people and their domestic life. A nuruber of early settlers are named and vocations given along with added bits of interesting information. This volume is complete with reproductions of historic documents, old photographs, and a name index.
