Home Care Therapists are increasingly being required to do within the home what was only possible previously in the clinical setting. Because of this, they absolutely need to have an encyclopedic amount of information ready for immediate use. Carrying a pile of textbooks would likely do the trick, but isn't practical; "Respiratory Home Care: An On-Site Reference Guide" condenses and organizes the information most needed.
Beginning with Discharge Planning and the Initial Home Visit; covering everything from Disease Management to Mechanical Ventilation; addressing reimbursement and education, Oakes and Wyka/Wyka have integrated a team approach from A to Z of information the therapist is going to need - in the most comprehensive book out on the market - at a fraction of the size (and cost, we might add!).
"Respiratory Home Care: An On-Site Reference Guide" is not a companion to providing competent care, it is the key.
