About the Author:
Scot Jones, BA, RRT-ACCS
Scot is currently an Educational Consultant, researching and writing, as well as teaching in person and through distance education. He was recently the Director of Clinical Education at Broward College where he spent hundreds of hours at the bedside, much of that working with students in Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care areas. He kept careful notes of gaps of knowledge, and interviewed dozens of Respiratory Therapists in these areas on what was needed at the immediate bedside. These intense, hands-on clinical rotations helped determine the future of the Neonatal/Pediatric Pocket Guide . Prior to this he served as a respiratory supervisor at a large trauma hospital in North Carolina, where he enjoyed the ability to help troubleshoot clinically challenging situations with Respiratory Therapists, Residents, Fellows, and other health professionals. Scot has a passion for the impact of physiology knowledge on bedside clinical practice, and speaks on related topics through the United States.
