About the Author

Sidney J. Jacobs is an ordained rabbi and a journalist who has been a newspaper reporter and editor in Chicago and Los Angeles. His involvement in ecumenical activities and his lectures before church and civic groups have given him expertise in answering questions which are frequently asked about Jews and Judaism. Betty J. Jacobs is professor of communications at West Los Angeles College. She served as director of broadcasting for the Chicago Board of Rabbis. Both Rabbi Sid and Betty are recipients of many awards for writng and teaching.
