About the Author

Ronald L. Lane was a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S.Army and graduate of West Point Military Academy. He was an airborne ranger with the 101st Airborne Division. Throughout his 21 year military career, he served all around the world, including: three years in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam conflict, three years in France, and six years in the Pentagon. Lane was awarded the coveted Combat Infantryman's Badge, two Bronze Stars, and other American and foreign military decorations. He was named an honorary member of the Ranger Battalion Association of World War II. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, he is laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery.
