This book was written for high school students, but it will appeal to a much broader audience. The author, founder of the Sante Fe Private Equity Fund, a $50 million venture capital fund specializing in health care and information industry start-ups, covers the topic of entrepreneurship from concept to implementation, and his chapter on "Investing in Entrepreneurs" should be of interest to investors with venture capital. He also discusses collecting and investing, and this is what will appeal to a wider audience. Silver writes well, and he succeeds in clearly defining and describing the complexities of various investment vehicles and taxation. He also identifies undervalued assets--an omission in most investment books. Recommended for high school, public, and college libraries.
