The best of both worlds...that’s what I want my patients to have. Day after day, for 26 years, I’ve treated chronic pain and chronic diseases. In my early years of practice, I was often frustrated, as were my patients, because for many of them, conventional treatments alone either helped only a minimal amount or didn’t help at all. "You’ll just have to learn to live with your disease" is what the doctors, myself included, would have to tell these patients. But there was hope for them...in another medical world...the alternative medicine world. Now patients still come in with suffering and frustration, but most go out with hope and much better health. They told me I should write a book and help others with my Balanced Healing approach. I hope my book will do just that.
About the Author
Larry Altshuler, M.D., began introducing alternative methods of treatment into his medical practice 25 years ago, long before alternative medicine enjoyed widespread acceptance. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and also has extensive training in herbal medicine, acupuncture, nutrition, Qigong, hypnosis, and mind-body medicine.
Dr. Altshuler heads the Balanced Healing Medical Center in Oklahoma City, a clinic specializing in the treatment of chronic disease and pain. It enjoys a phenomenal success rate through the combined application of conventional, alternative, and research therapies.
