Synopsis
Andrew Levy's wonderful new book can be read, in part, as a meditation within and upon its title, _Continuous Discontinuous_. That is, it raises the question, what is or isn't discontinuous with what. The question pertains both to phrases of language and to moments of experience; it pertains, that is, both to meaning (those fragile junctures) and to identity (potential continuities of the self).
