I think this is the book everyone has been waiting for. Every question a coach or player could ask about getting faster in their sport is answered. This research-based book explains the how and why of speed improvement in a way everyone can understand. The concepts are sound and easy to apply. This book needs to be in everyone's library. There is no longer an excuse for not working on your speed development in your sport. --Dr. Brian Oddi, former CFL Linebacker, Director and Head Performance Coach, California University of Pennsylvania
I read this book carefully since I am in charge of improving the game speed of our athletes. I was expecting nothing more than a rehashing of old concepts that everyone already knows. It was ia surprise to find such a comprehensive book that covered every phase of speed development. Most books on speed are written for track and field sprinters. This 425 page book focuses on team sport athletes and can not only make you an expert, it can make you faster. --Michael Srock, Speed and Strength Coach, Byrnes High School, Duncan, SC
Encyclopedia of Sports Speed covers every aspect of this complicated training area of increasing speed and quickness on the playing speed. It is an easy read with a wealth of information every athlete should apply during their off-season training if they want to return next season quicker and faster. --Dan Austin, Strength and Conditioning Coach, University of South Carolina
