About the Author
Ray Burke, PH.D., is assistant program director in the Education Services Division at Girls and Boys Town. A father of five, he is the former director of the Common Sense Parenting program.
Ron Herron is director of the Writing Division at Girls and Boys Town. He is the father of two and a former Family-Teacher.

Burke, who developed the Common Sense Parenting Training Program at Boys Town, and Herron, a former community director of Boys Town, are big on recognizing consequences, both positive and negative, and staying calm. Several aspects of the Boys Town training programs are here, most very simple and easy to follow. The authors support the use of contracts and charts and give samples of what these should look like.
