Father Hays challenges us to explore the common and ordinary in our lives as the stuff from which are made whole and holy people.

Father Edward M. Hays is the author of more than thirty books on contemporary spirituality. He was the co-founder and moving spirit of Forest of Peace Publishing and founding director of Shantivanam, a Midwest center for contemplative prayer. He has served as a chaplain of the state penitentiary in Lansing, Kansas, parish priest, and spiritual director. Hays has spent extended periods of pilgrimage in the Near East, the Holy Land, and India and remains a prolific writer and painter.
"There are few people who consistently give us both depth and breadth--while never closing that clever and humorous edge--as Ed Hays. If a holy man is one who does not take himself too seriously, then Ed is such a man. Fortunately, he always takes God and his readers very seriously!" --Richard Rohr, O.F.M.
