Synopsis
In this riveting narrative, Tiffany Thuy Tran escapes as a 12-year-old from Vietnam, is rescued at sea, and spends three years in a refugee camp before coming to America. She is taken advantage of by an older man, becomes pregnant, and gives birth at age 16. She marries and comes to Oklahoma where she and her husband open a beauty salon. He is murdered, and the same man tries to kill her too. Tiffany offers a gritty description of the murder, trial, and execution, as well as introspective accounts of the faith that sustained her through these crises.

About the Author
Tiffany Thuy Tran is a manicurist at Balliet's Beauty Salon in Oklahoma City. She lives in Oklahoma City with her new husband, Tony Tran, an electrical engineer.
