About this title

Review

"Guiding big-game hunters is obviously no longer the sole realm of males. Sharon McLeod-Everette guides with skill, tact, and respect for our great north country, its wondrous wildlife, and her diverse clientele. She weaves the tale of her adventures with the same skill and devotion." -- Pete Buist, Alaska Master Guide

"Sharon McLeod-Everette does what very few women have ever done. She guides big game hunters in Alaska, and she is addicted to it. She loves the adventure, the kinship, the self-reliance. She is lucky to work where getting the job done and done well results in acceptance and even respect." -- Christine Thomas, University of Wisconsin

"This book is filled with the beauty, excitement, challenge, and danger that is characteristic of Alaska's wilderness experiences. The author is a woman hunter and guide. We get to share a glimpse of her home and its spirit. Anyone who loves hunting or outdoor adventure will enjoy this book as thoroughly as I did." -- Kitty Beuchert, Instructor for "Becoming an Outdoors Woman"
