Dr. Margaret S. Woodruff has taught German to students from ages 6 to 18 at summer camps, the University of Texas, and at community colleges in Texas. In addition, she has presented, throughout the country, numerous Total Physical Response (TPR) workshops to language teachers at all levels. Dr. Woodruff has successful experience as a teacher, researcher, book editor, free-lance translator, and writer of numerous short stories, poems, and essays. She holds a Ph.D. in Germanic Languages from the University of Texas at Austin and also a secondary teaching certificate for both German and English. Dr. Woodruff studied for a year in Berlin, participated in Goethe-Institute seminars, and traveled extensively throughout West Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. For outstanding work in the successful application and research with Dr. James J. Asher's TPR, Dr. Margaret Woodruff (together with Dr. Janet King Swaffar), received the prestigious Paul Pimsleur Award from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
