About the Author:

Arundhati Roy is a prominent Indian novelist, political activist, and non-fiction writer. In addition to winning the 1997 Booker Prize for her novel The God of Small Things, she was named one of TIME’s 100 most influential people of 2014. She lives in Delhi.
