The activities of the Santo Nino are the favorite stories of the villagers of Chimayo. It is believed that hte Sano Nino travels through the countryside at night and as a consequence wears out his shoes. Pilgrims frequently bring baby shoes as offerings to replace the ones wore our during his nocturnal wanderings.
