The fascinating technique of Double Knitting produces a two-faced, negative-image fabric. This style of knitting has been simplified by the author to enable you to work both sides in a single pass. M'Lou's stunning designs for coats, jackets, and shawls are all easily accessible through detailed charts as well as written instructions. An extensive technical section along with a chapter of assorted practice items will help you fall into the rhythm of this increasingly popular type of hand-knitting.

M'Lou Baber began working in the medium of Double Knitting in the early 1990s. Her designs and techniques habe been published in Threads and Interweave Knits magazines, as well as in the books, Great Knits and Sweaters from Camp. Throughout her life, M'Lou has been involved in a number of artistic disciplines, including silversmithing, painting, and dressmaking. She has exhibited at juried shows around the country and has received several awards for her watercolors. M'Lou spends much of her time teaching workshops, which-when she isn't knitting or painting - is her most rewarding occupation.
