Exhibition Catalogue from 1986 show at Galerie Karsten Greve in Cologne Germany. Traylor, a self-taught artist, was born into slavery in 1854. In 1939, at the age of 85, he started drawing. Traylor's work is fascinating and it was recently featured at show in NYC and also at the American Folk Art Museum in DC.
