This was my first sound engineering book. I compiled it from my teaching notes from the course I was teaching at the largest private recording studio in the world (at that time): Wally Heider Recording, Hollywood, California. I was also the Dean of Students at the Hollywood School of Sound Engineering and teaching there as well.It took over two years to write this book. The book was very successful. Over 350 colleges and universities used this book. Some still do.After this book I wrote a more advanced book titled "Quality In Sound Engineering."--Sherman Keene
