Synopsis
This book traces the history of architecture in Oregon, citing 205 buildings as examples of the various styles that appeared in the state between 1840 and the 1950s. From the early log shanties and pens through the popular styles of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Photographs of each building y noted Northwest photographer, Paul Macapia, illustrate the text. Extensive captions accompany the illustrations, and includes anecdotes associated with each structure. Edited by Pamela S. Meidell.
