This book, ALL ABOUT TREES (IN & AROUND HOUSTON) will tell you all that you need to know to maintain your trees if you live in or around Houston. There are more than 20,000 different kinds of trees in the world, 1,000 in the United States alone. But in Houston, there are only a dozen or so trees that I plan to discuss. Chances are these are the ones you have. So this book is specializing, especially for you. I'll tell you which trees grow the fastest, the ones that live the longest, and how to plant them. I'll tell you trees that are best for Houston according to climate and soil conditions and how to care for them, trim them, and treat them for any ailment they might have and, most important, when to call on an expert. My father was in the tree business since 1968. As a young boy, I tagged along with him whenever I could. He taught me ALL ABOUT TREES. My staff and I have continued to learn by keeping current with the improved methods of caring for trees.
