A knowledge of the temperament types is one of the best ways of understanding the behaviors of oneself and of others. The temperament plays a major role in forming the personality and affects a person's moral and spiritual development, academic performance, vocational choice, popularity, ability to concentrate, and memory. The theory of the four temperaments has been in existence at least since the time of the early Greeks.

The temperament test is made up of 80 yes-or-no questions. The questionnaire was tested on a sample of 4,500 people, and is said to be "one of the four scientifically validated temperament tests in existence."

The booklet, Understanding Your Temperament, is available for self-administering, self-scoring, and self-interpreting the scores from a Christian viewpoint. Instructions are included, and descriptions and case histories of the temperament combination types aid in self-analysis.

For individual or group administration, the booklets are available in English, French, German, and Spanish. Scoring templates are available (specify English or international) for efficient scoring.
