Grade 7-12-- Evolving from a newspaper column called ``FYI,'' this book is a compilation of letters from teens and their parents with responses from appropriate professionals. The numerous letters pose questions on virtually all matters of YA concern. Brief biographical sketches of the professionals are appended. The many pages of small print are successfully broken up by small black-and-white drawings, usually of faceless, and often sexless, figures. However, further attempts to break up the text by incorporating computer graphics often interrupt readers in the middle of a letter or response. Lacking a central focus, those cluttered, hard-to-read pages reflect the use of desktop publishing without the elements of design. Teens and parents curious or desperate enough to read around the frustrating interruptions will find plenty of helpful information, but libraries without immediate needs for such material may want to pass on this one. --Dona Weisman, Northeast Texas Library System, Garland
