About the Author:

RICHARD O. JACOBS is a Partner with the law firm of Massari, Bell, Jacobs & Forlizzo in St. Petersburg and Tampa, Florida. He holds a B. B. A. from the University of Wisconsin where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa; and a J. D. from Stetson University, College of Law, where he graduated first in his class, magna cum laude. He has served as chairman of the Florida Bar Tax Section, founder/President of the Jacobs, Robbins, Gaynor Law Firm, and General Counsel & Executive Vice President of Communications Equity Associates, Inc. of Tampa, Florida. Jacobs is Chairman of the Board of Farbine Inc. and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Stetson College of Law. He was a founding director of Park Bank and ultimately served as its president and chairman.
