Review

The extraordinary serenity and self-confidence Franklin Roosevelt brought to the presidency owed much to the rarefied Hudson River world in which he grew to manhood, a world explored ably in FDR at Home. --Geoffrey C. Ward, author of Before the Trumpet, A First Class Temperament, and Closest Companion.

For the first half of the 20th century, FDR was a vital part of Dutchess County and its history. His interest in its people, their families and farms, buildings public and private and all aspects of its commercial, cultural and social life are explored in this fascinating collection of essays. --Eleanor Roosevelt Seagraves, FDR's granddaughter
