Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? The answers to these most basic questions provide an understanding of our purpose in life. And central to our purpose is the question of the very existence of a transcendent Creator God. To many in our society, belief in a god has little to do with the scientific evidence of the real universe. In other words, many feel faith gives us something to believe in, but that faith has nothing to do with what really exists. That is what science does examines and confirms what can be known. But isn t it true that God, the creator of the real universe, can be known and doesn t science reveal the evidence of that knowable God? Scripture tells us that it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that there is God... (Heb. 11:6, NLT). But is that a blind faith and without knowledge of what the real world reveals about God? Scripture additionally states, For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God (Rom. 1:19-21, NLT). Having a knowledgeable faith in God provides the answer to our purpose in life. And it helps us not only to know the relationship between scientific findings and faith, but it helps us to know how to explain that to our families, friends, and those who are confused about knowing God. For years my friends at Probe Ministries have been on the forefront of helping people share a knowledgeable faith in a skeptical world. And they, along with Evan Tell, have launched a new project called Redeeming Darwin: Discovering the Designer. Taking advantage of this resource will equip you to explain the issues with evolutionary theory and the mounting evidence for Intelligent Design. The DVD, Viewers Guide, and Reference Guide cover a complex topic in a way that is understandable without being simplistic. You will be prepared to answer even the most difficult questions with confidence. If you sincerely want to know where does the evidence lead? , Probe s Redeeming Darwin resource is a great place to start. Take advantage of it.
