From Library Journal:
Cabestrero, an activist priest-journalist based in Nicaragua, listened to the testimony of more than 60 Nicaraguan civilians, all victims of kidnappings, violent ambushes, rapes, and other assaults by the soldiers of the National Democratic Force (FDN), or Contras. Blood of the Innocent is a sequel to the author's earlier book on three priests who serve as officials in the revolutionary government Ministers of God, Min is ters of the People ( LJ 8/84). These first-person accounts of the barbarities committed against the civilian population by the Contras are all the more tragic in the light of the recently increased U.S. aid to their victimizers. Recommended for general, academic, and church libraries. Ken Phifer, Montgomery Cty. Dept. of Public Libs., Rockville, Md.
