Hardcover. Condition: Fine. First Special Edition 1 of Only 30. A fine as new copy of this now elusive edition (only 30 with the original photographs were published) of the Sayings and Doings of T.E. Lawrence as related to R.G. Sims whilst TEL was stationed at Bridlington towards the end of his RAF career in 1934-5. Finely bound in full blue leather (goatskin) with TES impressed to front board in blue cloth box as issued with TES also impressed to front. The box, as well as the volume, contains the fine series of portrait photographs taken by Sims in White Cottage, Hornsea. The special edition, one of only thirty with original prints of the photographs taken from the glass plate negatives. This volume is an elegant production from Simon Lawrence at the Fleece Press and won the Limited Edition Class in the British Books 1995 Design and Production Awards. 72pp illustrated with photographs. A rare opportunity to obtain a copy of this special edition and of these photographs that are unlikely to be ever printed again in this original form. Original Prospectus laid in.
