Paul Kelly was born in Dublin and has been a professional 'award winning' artist for over 25 years. Completely self taught, his traditional pre-impressionist palette has given him numerous successful 'sell out' exhibition's. Well known in Ireland for his painting's of the Irish landscape he first started showing in the Royal Hibernian Academy in 1990 and in 1991 obtained the James Kennedy memorial award for portraiture. Work by him is included in many public and private collection's including the Bank of Ireland and the Brian P. Burn's Collection USA. In 1999 he was included in "Who's who in Ireland" and in 2000 his painting "The liffey Rower's" was exhibited at the John F. Kennedy centre for the performing Art's, Washington. Paul has also been a winner of the Ireland Fund of Great Britain "Artist of the year" award. He continues to be a frequent world traveler constantly in search of his next subject.
