Artist Bridget Riley is best known for her paintings, but she's made screenprints
throughout her career - works in which Riley has explored problems she's encountered
during the painting process and experimented with new material. This catalog raisonné
is a reprint and update of the publication produced in 2001, a full survey show of her
prints, revealing her clear understanding of the requirements and possibilities of the
medium. Writes Craig Hartley, There is no sharper pleasure in contemporary
printmaking than Riley's recent prints, where the consonance of intention and effect
reveal once again that screenprint is an ideal vehicle for the painter.
