Condition: new. ALL UK PARCELS SENT TRACKED! ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS SENT AIRMAIL, TRACKED! (S/hand, Hardcover, 2007 ). 2007 1st edition. Ppii,74. Colour & b/w photographs, illustrations, photograph end-papers. Green cloth gilt. Fine unread copy. Detailed account of the bird collection assembled by Lt. Colonel Charles Theodore Echalaz at the turn of the twentieth century. The collection was donated to the local council at Waterloo, Liverpool, to be displayed in the Waterloo Museum, attached to the, then, new Carnegie Library. The collection sustained a direct hit during a bombing raid in 1941, and was further damaged in a burglary in the 1980's. The collection remains in storage at the library today. A description of each surviving case is accompanied by a colour photograph taken especially for this book. Echalaz printed his own catalogue of the collection (1907) with black and white plates of each case. Where appropriate, this book reproduces Echalaz's own photographs for comparison. .
